WayAhead Rehab is a small company established to help you find an alcohol rehab clinic or drug detox clinic that meets your needs. We are also experienced in providing advice on eating disorder treatment centres and rehab clinics which specialise in other addictions such as gambling, shopping, computer and sex / love addiction together with stress / mental health related issues and dual diagnosis disorders.

We are entirely independent and provide you with confidential, unbiased free advice. Trying to find a suitable rehab or detox clinic is harder than looking for that proverbial needle in a haystack.

At WayAhead we have done the hard work for you.

We visit all the rehab and detox clinics that we recommend (including those overseas) and assess them on client care, therapeutic programme content, experience / qualifications of all staff and standards of accommodation.

All you have to do is tell us what you are looking for and give us an idea of your budget and we will find an appropriate drug or alcohol detox and rehab.

You should bear in mind that a large number of the clinics in the UK are run for Social Services and the NHS. As a result, these clinics tend to attract the less fortunate in society; you can expect mainly adolescents and people who have been given the option of alcohol and drug detox and rehab over a prison sentence. Such places are often run more like young offender units and are unlikely to be as successful as a dedicated detox and rehab private clinic where everyone is paying for their treatment and really wants to get well.

Depending on your age and background, you may or may not fit in with the other patients.  Indeed, sending a middle-aged alcoholic into a clinic largely populated by sub-21 year old drug addicts clearly isn’t going to work.  Equally, sending a 21 year old into a rehab full of ageing alcoholics is not going to work either.  However, you cannot tell from the clinics’ websites what their clientele are like.  Nor can you discover the attitude of the staff, how many patients they have to a room, whether mobile phones are permitted or what other rules apply.  WayAhead has asked the right questions for you. 

Is is also very difficult to find out what you will be charged for treatment or what is the minimum length of the treatment programme. A seemingly low-cost clinic charging under £1000 per week but setting a minimum stay of 12 or 24 weeks clearly works out far more expensive than a clinic charging £1500 per week that will get you into recovery in 3 to 6 weeks.  WayAhead has done the detective work for you and provide you with the answers to your questions.
